Correction! Feb. 4 is the Start Date for the New Strength Class for Parents and Their Kids

My new strength class for adults and their kids ages 10 or older will begin the first Saturday in February at the Cupertino Sports Center. You don’t need to be a member to come, but rather can simply pay a drop-in class fee. Here are the details:

Body Sculpting (Kids included!)

10 – 10:45 a.m.

Saturdays starting Feb. 4, 2012

Any adults can attend the class. All kids must be accompanied by at least one of their parents. I plan on incorporating a lot of the same games and partner drills as in my regular body sculpt class — from 9:10 – 9:55 a.m. as of Jan. 21 — to maximize the fun for everyone.

This class came about for two reasons: 1) my current body sculpt class, which is for anyone age 12 or older, has gotten too big, and 2) I’ve been regularly getting parent/kid combos and would like to encourage that kind of family bonding, which is an excellent way to instill a lifelong love of fitness in kids.

So if you can come, please do!
