Suspend Your Routine: Aerial Yoga

December 19, 2011

Whenever AF closes down for the holidays, thus freeing up my fitness schedule, I try and line up 2 or 3 new fitness experiences. Trying something new is not only fun, but breaks my normal routine and gives me new ideas when I get back to my own classes.

On the menu for this upcoming holiday is a visit to The Yoga Studio in Campbell.

I already go to yoga twice a week at Just Breathe in Santa Clara. The reason I’m trying the Campbell place is because the owners offer aerial yoga in which participants use silks, which are suspended from the ceiling, to perform various poses and stretches.

When the person who recommended this class, the first think I thought of was traction, like the kind to correct broken bones.

This type of suspension, however, looks lovely and relaxing.

Whatever you decide to do during this break, have fun and be safe.

Happy working out!
